Insider's View

Dominique, Consultant in Handicap issues
Sophia-Antipolis, France
I’ve always been handicapped (hearing & locomotion). I joined Galderma in 1985, after having taught science and worked as a Biostatistician also in the pharmaceutical industry. At Galderma I’ve held different functions in biostatistics, metrology and information management. Today I’m Galderma’s consultant in Handicap issues at the R&D center in Sophia-Antipolis.

This position was created in 2009 within the Human Resources department. I’m a member of the health, safety and risk committees and I represent Galderma at inter-company discussions on the subject of handicap. I inform and facilitate the integration of more people with disabilities, making sure Galderma offers adequate internships for example. Thus the number of handicapped colleagues at our site has more than doubled since 2008.

For me, to work and be able to make a living is already very satisfying. But to be working in this special function and being able to help the public mindset in this field is a real source of motivation.
Galderma is an ethical company which follows rules and standards. We still need to count on everybody to go along with it and adopt the code of ethics for themselves. My role is to make this happen where “working with disabilities” is concerned.

Words and values associated with Galderma:
Ethics - will to succeed - young - participation - innovation
