Medical education support for Russian dermatologists on Acne

Every five years, a practicing dermatologist must undergo advanced training to get his or her license renewed. These courses provide physicians with information about the latest treatments at the Medical University of St Petersburg in North Western Russia.

For four years, Galderma has organized ‘round tables’ and given lectures on acne. These are held at the Department of Dermatology and Venerology at the Saint Petersburg Medical University. Lecturers come from all over the North Western regions of Russia to hear them. Each specialist is given the chance to learn about and share their own best practices on skin treatment for acne and other skin conditions.

It is important for Galderma to share its research and results with medical professionals. Over 200 Russian dermatologists receive up-to-date news about the latest research on acne treatment every year. This is done in cycles of 30 to 40 doctors and medical students every month. Every doctor who has completed the postgraduate medical course knows the global standards on Acne treatment and ultimately it is their patients who benefit from this.
