Joanne Courtenay-Hooey

Vice President, Human Resources & Communications 


Joanne Courtenay-Hooey is Vice President of Human Resources and Communications for Galderma. As the leader for North America, Joanne is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage and establish a culture where all talent can reach their full potential.  In 2017, Joanne established the Women’s Leadership Network, the first employee resource group for Galderma in the U.S., dedicated to empowering women to reach their professional and personal goals, fostering work-life effectiveness, creating a competitive advantage for the organization. In her role, she also oversees Commercial Excellence and Leadership Development to inspire leaders and empower employees to optimize their professional opportunities across the organization. 

Ms. Courtenay-Hooey joined the company in August 2015. Her career in the human resources discipline spans 25 years, including 8 years with the Kellogg Company.  While with Kellogg, Joanne held HR roles supporting a variety of businesses across the enterprise, including North American Customer & Logistics and Global Research Quality & Technology and U.S. Cereal Division. During her tenure she led key initiatives in business transformation, leadership development, Change Management, Diversity & Inclusion, and Team Effectiveness efforts to drive business results.   

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
