Galderma announces relocation of U.S. Headquarters to downtown Dallas

December 8, 2021

December 8, 2021 (Fort Worth, TX) – Galderma, the world’s leading dermatology company, is pleased to announce the relocation of its U.S. headquarters to downtown Dallas. In summer 2022, Galderma will relocate to the Trammell Crow Center at 2001 Ross Ave. Galderma has approximately 400 home office employees who will work from the new location.

Established in 1981, Galderma is the maker of Cetaphil, the #1 doctor recommended sensitive skincare brand and the #1 dermatologist recommended facial skincare brand. The company is completely dedicated to dermatology with an innovative, science-based portfolio of premium brands and services across Consumer Care, Prescription Medicine and Aesthetics. Galderma products are available in more than 100 countries.

The new, state-of-the-art office space at Trammell Crow Center will comprise 50,000 square feet on the 16th and 17th floors. Its interior, designed by Unispace, is modern and open and was designed to promote collaboration, creativity, productivity and connections. The Trammell Crow Center, located in the Dallas Arts District, has recently completed a $135 million renovation.

Galderma’s current U.S. headquarters is in the Alliance area of Fort Worth. Its distribution center will remain at the Fort Worth location. The decision to move to the downtown Dallas area aligns with the company’s needs for office functionality and design, along with the opportunity to provide employees and business partners with the outstanding location and amenities offered at the Trammell Crow Center location.

“Moving to Dallas is just one example of the transformation happening across the organization,” said Diane Gomez-Thinnes, head of Galderma U.S. “We’ve recently introduced a premium new brand look and are experiencing tremendous growth, expanding our current portfolio and adding new innovations through robust R&D efforts and through acquisitions and licensing opportunities.”

Galderma employees will have access to the building’s Arts District location and proximity to Klyde Warren Park. The building has a 9,000-square-foot athletic club, 1.4 acres of outdoor space, a 9,000-square-foot conference center and first-floor restaurant space and a convenient market. It also offers 200 boutique hotel rooms, ideal for employees and business partners traveling from outside the area.

“We are excited to welcome the U.S. headquarters of the world’s largest independent dermatology company to downtown Dallas and our amazing Arts District," said Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson. "Galderma's choice to relocate to Dallas — a growing biotech hub — highlights the strength of our city's economy and the incredible appeal of our city center. Dallas is a city where businesses of all sizes can grow and thrive, and we know Galderma will find itself at home here."

“Our search included several national and local options, but once we saw what the Arts District has to offer – a thriving, walkable location that will allow our associates to become part of the community where they work, as well as to help attract new talent as we continue to grow, we were set on Dallas,” said Michael Shires, head of Galderma Global Real Estate and Facilities.  “We are so happy to be able to continue the next chapter of growth for Galderma U.S. in Texas.”

Galderma is best known for its Cetaphil products. From humble Texan roots, Cetaphil was designed by a pharmacist for sensitive skin. Since then, Cetaphil has been recommended and trusted by doctors and dermatologists for more than 70 years and is used by millions around the world. The company also provides an extensive portfolio of premium prescription, consumer care and aesthetic solutions to patients, consumers and healthcare professionals.

In addition to its relocation, Galderma recently announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ALASTIN Skincare®, Inc. (“ALASTIN”), a specialty aesthetics company dedicated to developing innovative and clinically tested, physician-dispensed skincare products. ALASTIN provides a comprehensive collection of cutting-edge, scientifically proven products for daily skincare regimens and peri-procedural use. Since its inception, ALASTIN has delivered rapid and consistent sales growth, achieving a CAGR of 106% between 2016 and 2020, one of the highest of any professional skincare company.

Galderma’s global headquarters are in Lausanne, Switzerland. The company has 5,000 employees worldwide.

“Galderma is a global leader in premium skincare products. We intentionally pursued them to complement our A-list roster of impressive corporate leaders in the legal, advisory and financial sectors at the Trammell Crow Center. They bring a brand name and executive team to the Arts District that has us excited,” said Ramsey March, managing director and partner at Stream Realty. “Interest in Trammell Crow Center is at an all-time high and with the addition of Galderma the building is more than 90% leased.”

Ramsey March, Chase Lopez and Marissa Parkin from Stream Realty managed the real estate transaction for the Trammel Crow Center. Peery Wood and Chris Sido from CBRE represented Galderma in the transaction.
