General Manager, Galderma Canada
Wendy has been an employee of Galderma Canada Inc. for over 23 years, and has held the position as General Manager since 2008. She joined Galderma in 1995 as a Product Manager and was hired to run the flag-ship OTC brand Cetaphil and launch Differin, the first new acne molecule to be introduced to the Canadian market in over 20 years at that time. With proven success in this area, she moved through the organization holding various progressive positions in marketing, sales and management.
During her tenure at Galderma, Wendy served as an advisor to the Canadian Skin Patient Alliance, was President of the Canadian Dermatology Industry Association for over 5 years and was inducted into the Canadian Healthcare Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2017 Wendy became a Benefactor Life member of the Canadian Dermatology Foundation.
Prior to joining Galderma, Wendy started her pharmaceutical career in the Ottawa area as a medical sales representative for Dow Pharmaceuticals. She was the sales representative of the year in 1991, and then moved into a retail role for the company before relocating to Toronto to join the marketing department. In this capacity Wendy had the fortune to manage progressively larger portfolios from Novahistex/Novahistine, Nicorette/Nicoderm to Seldane.
Wendy is a graduate of Carleton University with an Honors degree in Commerce. During her years at Carleton she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Basketball Team. Wendy is fluently bilingual (English/French).
