The Galderma SKINPACT Awards aim to inspire dermatologists to examine local unmet needs, structure a response, then propose and implement a strategic plan to improve the situation. The end goal is to promote excellence in initiatives dedicated to support a sustainable dermatology community. 

At Galderma, we believe in advancing dermatology through innovative medical solutions to people with health skin needs. One of the ways we achieve this is by partnering with healthcare professionals and scientific societies. The Galderma SKINPACT Awards objective is to inspire dermatologists and other doctors with an interest in dermatology, to develop and help implement voluntary projects that create real impact in the lives of patient communities.

Following the success of the global launch of the SKINPACT Awards at the 2015 World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver, the following four years are focused on different regions starting with Latin America (2016), Asia Pacific (2017), North America (2018) and EMEA (2019).  The shortlisted and winning projects from 2015 - 2017 are now posted in the SKINPACT Awards website. Our 2018 partners are the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) and the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA).

How does it work?

1. From 16 February – 9 July 2018:  Dermatologists from North America (Canada & USA) are invited to submit projects/initiatives in one of two categories; Community Leadership and Excellence in Education categories in the Galderma SKINPACT Awards website.

2. From 18 July – 18 September 2018:  A distinguished Expert Panel of dermatologists selected by the WDS and the CDA from all corners of North America will review, score and shortlist the projects (5 projects/category) and determine one project per category that will receive the Expert Panel Award.

3. From 1 October – 1 December:  The best 5 projects in each category will move on to the International Dermatology Community online voting to determine which projects will receive the Community Vote Award.

Each winning project (Expert Panel Award & Community Vote Award) in each category (4 projects in total) will be awarded $ 10,000 USD.  This will give a considerable boost to many worthy initiatives.
