General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
Nakisa Serry has been General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Galderma since April 2020.
As a member of the Executive Committee, Nakisa plays an important role in helping drive performance to deliver on our strategic priorities and ambitious growth objectives.
Nakisa spent over 14 years at biopharmaceutical company Celgene. As Corporate Vice President & Associate General Counsel, her responsibilities included legal and compliance matters related to the development, commercialization and delivery of products to patients. As a founding leader of Celgene's international headquarters, she actively shaped the company culture, emphasizing best in class business practices, proactive engagement and accountability across the business.
Prior to joining Celgene, Nakisa was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at orthobiologics company IsoTis SA in Lausanne, Switzerland, and legal counsel at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals in Belgium. Before her in-house experience she spent a year with the Children's Vaccine Initiative at the WHO and seven years in private practice at the boutique law firm Hoogendoorn & Talbot in the United States.
Nakisa, a dual Swiss and US national, holds a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University, a law degree from the University of Denver, an LLM in Tax from DePaul University, and an MBA from IMD in Lausanne.
