VP Consumer Care Strategy and Innovation Group
Neil Popplewell has been VP Consumer since October 2016.
Neil’s role is to lead the global functions of the consumer business, in defining the strategic direction for the business and delivering innovation to support the growth targets of the brands and countries. For this, he leads the cross functional work of various teams within the business unit, including Development, Project Management, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Business development and Customer and Channel development.
Neil has more than 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. After starting out as a process engineer, he joined the Sales Department at Boots Healthcare, then subsequently moved into the marketing team and held various marketing roles. Amongst those, he was Marketing Director at the Boots affiliate in France. Before moving to Galderma, Neil was General Manager of the Consumer Dermatology business unit at Novartis Consumer Health.
Neil joined Galderma in 2012 as Regional Director, Self-medication for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). Following the creation of the Self-medication GBU in 2013, he took on the position of Global Marketing Director, before becoming Vice President.
Neil was born in the UK and holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham (UK). He lives in Gingins, near Lausanne.
