Building AI-powered solutions
In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has taken center stage on the tech scene. Our IT teams work continuously to leverage AI as a tool for innovation at Galderma, positioning us at the forefront of technological innovation in dermatology.
AI projects offer stimulating challenges for our teams. Edoardo Tersigni, our recently appointed lead for Automation and AI who joined the company in 2022, focuses on driving AI-powered innovation throughout the organization. Most recently, this has involved building and leading Galderma’s AI Framework and establishing our AI Center of Excellence. His team embraces cutting-edge technologies like predictive and generative AI, which he says are “helping us accelerate research and development, anticipate trends, personalize experiences and drive digital transformation across the company.”
Central to Galderma’s dermatology leadership is our in-house Research and Development (R&D) platform – which our IT teams help support. At our state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D facility in Uppsala, Sweden, our tech teams are leveraging a custom-built AI interface to analyze handwritten documents. The project brings 30 years of historical R&D data back to life, so it can support new experiments and the development of new products.
